I have noticed that the left side of my lip is sagging and I
don't know if it has anything to do with my gums, nerves, or a muscle and I needed to know
is this a common thing. I'm only 22 and don't know what caused this. Please reply asap Assuming you have not experienced any trauma recently to your lip, it sounds like you may be experiencing disfunction in a nerve, particularly the 7th cranial nerve. One possibility is that you are experiencing Bell's Palsy (cause unknown) which usually clears up within 3-6 months. I recommend that you first have your doctor examine you to determine if any other causes or reasons for your sagging lip exist. One reason I suspect Bell's palsy is that it does commonly occur in younger women. Diabetes and pregnancy are considered predisposing factors for this condition. Nonetheless, please visit your doctor for a complete exam. |
