my mom just bought the a toothpaste & bleaching gel-in-one dazzling white kit. it says that you dont need a mouthguard,just brush with this stuff daily.does this stuff really work for people? i have like stains where my brackets were when i had braces,will that lighten up when i use the bleaching kit my dentist gave me?

The Rembrandt system can and does work, but is not as effective as the stronger materials provided by a dentist. The stains from your brackets may or may not lighten up. As a dentist, I have found that many times, such stains are actually not stains at all, but residual bonding resin leftover from the braces! Often times, a thorough cleaning with an ultrasonic scaler can reduce or eliminate such stains.
